Bring more people closer

Follow this idea and we can bring more people closer to us.

The word “telephone” is a fusion of two Greek words, translated as meaning “distant voice.”

Wikipedia defines the telephone as:

“a telecommunications device that permits two or more users to conduct a conversation when they are too far apart to be heard directly.”

Overcoming any misunderstanding #

We’ve all had conversations where there was quite literally a gulf between us, or where we were worlds apart. It’s a situation where two people are literally too far apart to be heard directly.

Nevertheless, the gulf can be bridged by doing this. It really works!

Visualisation #

I use visualisation a lot in telemarketing. Strangely, I didn’t realise it until some years ago when someone asked me how I was able to keep calling momentum going.

  • As I’m dialling the number, I picture their premises and visualise walking through the door towards the front desk, as my call is answered.
  • While my call is being transferred, I visualise walking down the corridor to the decision-maker’s office.
  • When they pick up, I’m there, standing right in front of them, in a comfortable environment, having a personal conversation.

Lose the nervy feeling #

I feel unimpeded by any nervy feeling around speaking with a stranger on some strange piece of technology that so happens to have been around for nearly 150 years!

Good luck in all your endeavours today. If you get the chance, use the human voice for what it is.

The human voice is a powerful, often neglected, communication tool.

And, if you get the chance, use and appreciate the phone for what it is.

The phone is an effective way to connect with potential customers on a more personal level.

Have meaningful conversations #

As with all marketing, successful telemarketing is not solely about the numbers and reaching out to many people, but about making meaningful connections and providing value to those people you are in conversation with.

Go on, Make The Phone Your Friend! Have meaningful conversations.

“A phone call is the most intimate form of connection a person can have with a brand. It remains one of the most effective ways businesses can break through the noise to attract, engage and support customers. Human interaction cannot be mirrored with emails, texts or chat bots.”
