“Goals can provide direction and even push you forward in the short term but eventually a well-designed system will always win. Having a system is what matters. Committing to the process is what makes the difference.” – James Clear
Invest in an engine #
Just recently, I’ve invested time and financial resources in technology, data and in the expansion of my business network.
Writing and posting more frequently has also been a new activity – motivated partly by the importance of committing thoughts, ideas and experiences to the screen before I forget everything 😊
Be patient #
It’s been a challenge to strike the balance between positively recognising the progress that’s been made and not being too impatient about the progress that’s being made, if that makes any sense?
And the new processes have all had to be implemented in a way where I stay true to my ethics and core beliefs. In turn this has been tricky because I’m a firm believer in spending man hours building relationships. As my LinkedIn tagline states:
“Hands on ally who loves to run with good ideas. Here to help you win new clients and stay in touch with those loyal to you.”
Balance between the machine and the human #
Automation and technology-driven processes can create a conflict by taking away the human element, but I’m happy with the direction of travel.
Creating a writing habit and investment in information and technology are what I’m defining as the engines within my business.
What engines do my readers have within their businesses? I’m curious to learn more.
Thank you for reading.
