After a moment’s hesitation………
We’re off again!
I’ve previously posted about that tumbleweed moment where you have done everything correctly.
You have researched your market
You have written stellar pieces of content to demonstrate your expertise:
- To show your people what you do
- How you do it; and
- Why you do it
You have sent out your promotional materials.
After a few days, has anything happened – has anyone come back to you?
Perhaps not. So, what’s next?
Quite simply, after a pause, we need to go forth. We need to follow up.
But perhaps we first need to reframe the moment before we move.
It’s a beautiful moment because once we reassure ourselves that:
- Lead generation + relationship building = sales growth.
- And conversations improve conversions.
We can proceed with a much more positive mindset.
I’m not sure about the beauty of the tumbleweed plant but it’s certainly given its name to a poetic phrase.
Why have a picture of a dandelion seed head, though?
Two reasons.
Firstly, there aren’t many tumbleweeds round here to photograph 😊
Secondly – their presence can be reframed too. Dandelions are the scourge of the avid gardener. However, the beauty of their flowers, the beauty of the seed head and the fact they enrich the soil with nitrogen, makes them the gardener’s friend.
Just as we can make the telephone our friend when we follow up.
Thank you for reading.
