Not being particularly religious, I’m probably not the best person to ask!
However…..
The Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity describes God as three divine “persons” in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
And….
The Holy Trinity of marketing is described by some as the relationship between market, message and media. It is a way of thinking about communicating with new customers and is one of the cornerstones of good marketing practice.
The order is important.
Start with understanding who your people are. The more specific you can be the better.
Then move on to delivering a compelling message – make the message a blend of informative (with useful reminders), educational (with Aha moments) and entertaining (to help lift the mood, if appropriate).
Finally, consider where your people spend most of their time and select the right media platforms to communicate with them.
A Holy Trinity? I’ll let you decide. To me, it sounds like a way of taking a straightforward concept and dressing it up to make things more complicated.
Many years ago, Irving Wunderman defined our challenge with this question: “To whom are you offering what ultimate benefit?”
Just maybe we can ever so slightly complicate Wunderman’s very simple approach by asking:
“To whom are you offering what ultimate benefit and by which method?”
Thank you for reading.
