The Human-AI Sweet Spot: A B2B Perspective.

“If you look at the history of communication, new technologies didn’t just let people do things faster; they fundamentally changed the scope of the kinds of projects people dared to take on.” — Justin Rosenstein

That observation stopped me when I first encountered it, because it described exactly what I had been experiencing in my own B2B lead generation work and it reframed the question I had been asking myself about artificial intelligence entirely.

Most of the conversation around AI in business circles centres on replacement: what will it take over, what will it make redundant, and how worried should we be? Having spent two decades building client relationships one conversation at a time, I had my own version of that anxiety.

What I discovered when I started experimenting was something rather different. The technology wasn’t replacing the human element of my work. It was giving me more time and better preparation for it.

This series of three articles explores what I have learned so far, not as a technology expert, but as a practitioner who has spent twenty years believing that genuine human connection is the most durable competitive advantage in B2B lead generation, and who has been quietly testing whether AI can strengthen rather than undermine that belief.

The three pieces cover distinct ground:

In Technology Transforms, we look at why new tools consistently do more than speed things up; they change what becomes possible altogether.

In My Personal Experiment, I share what changed in my day-to-day lead generation work when I started using AI tools, and what surprised me most about the results.

In The Four Quadrant Framework, I set out the practical model I use to decide what to automate and what to protect and why getting that boundary right matters more than the tools themselves.

Each piece stands alone. Together, they make the case for a way of working that I am increasingly convinced represents not a compromise between human and machine, but the best of both.
